This paper focuses on to determine the optimal allocation and sizing of the DG in order to minimize the losses and improve voltage stability in the system using Evolutionary Programming(EP), Artificial Immune System (AIS) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)technique. The Static Voltage Stability Index (SVSI) was used as the objective function for the developed optimization technique and able to minimize total transmission losses, improved voltage stability and increase voltage profile of the system.
