Summary: | Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is an important cereal in the world and can be grown in different habitats as lowland, irrigated and upland rice. In order to study the effect of of biofertilizer on the growth and yield of rice, the experiment was carried out using Complete Randomized Design (CRD) base on 5 treatments and 5 replications. T0: 100% NPK, T1: 30% Biofertilizer + 70% NPK, T2: 50% Biofertilizer + 50% NPK, T3: 70% Biofertilizer + 30% NPK, T4: 100% Biofertilizer. The rice without biofertilizer was served as control. The variety of rice use is MR 220 and the different of dose biofertilizer was applied in 4 times application. Each of the application was mix with inorganic fertilizer NPK with recommended rate. The parameter used in this study are number of leaves, number of tillers, number of panicle, height of rice, 1000-grain weight, fresh weight and dry weight. The combination of 50% Biofertilizer + 50% NPK shows positive result for number of leaves, number of tillers, number of panicle, height of plant, 1000-grain weight and fresh and dry weight. The treatment 1, treatment 3 and treatment 4 shows the lowest mean for all parameters and there is no significant different between the treatment. Thus, from this study the combination of biofertilizer with chemical fertilizer was proved in boosting a better growth and yield of rice.
