Summary:This research was conducted to study the perception of trainee teachers’ in using music as a teaching and learning tool for ESL. It was intended to study the perception of Semester 8 students of Faculty of Education, Shah Alam. A total of 44 students from Semester 8 were chosen as participants. A survey research method was used. For various reasons, results indicate that the trainee teachers had positive perceptions in using music as a teaching and learning tool for ESL.
