Summary:This dissertation is basically done in five (5) chapters. Each chapter generally describes and discusses the various facets related to the subject matter. The following generally describe the contents of each chapter. Chapter 1 discusses on and looks into how auction precedings are initiated in the form of application for financing, discussion on ' the pros and contras of of property as collateral, the merits of property as collateral, the effect of property price movements on collaterals and the formation of charges. The execution of an auction needs to comply with legal provisions and regulations and these aspects are laid out and discussed under Chapter 2. Emphasis is also given to provisions relating to procedures working towards the execution of an auction. Parties involved and their roles are somewhat highlighted here in relation to the proceedings.
