The World Bank supported this effort through an Education Sector Adjustment Credit and Grant (ESAC). The ESAC was designed to assist the government deal with the immediate challenges arising from the UPE policy. The broad development objective of ESAC was to ensure that the public resources needed to sustain UPE were available and that there was improved allocation and more efficient use of these resources. In addition and critically for the Bank the operation was designed to enhance the availability of quality inputs and improve overall sector management. 2012-08-13T09:27:32Z 2012-08-13T09:27:32Z 2002-09 http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2002/09/5107813/uganda-adjustment-operations-support-education http://hdl.handle.net/10986/9756 English Africa Region Findings & Good Practice Infobriefs; No. 80 CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank Publications & Research :: Brief Publications & Research Africa Uganda
