The average welfare loss due to exchange rate-induced price increases was equivalent to 7.4 percent of initial expenditure. Stronger estimated exchange rate pass-through for food items imply that this effect disproportionately affected poorer households. 2012-06-04T19:44:02Z 2012-06-04T19:44:02Z 2007-04 http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2007/04/7489948/welfare-effects-large-depreciation-case-egypt-2000-05 http://hdl.handle.net/10986/7043 English Policy Research Working Paper; No. 4182 CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank World Bank, Washington, DC Publications & Research :: Policy Research Working Paper Publications & Research Middle East and North Africa Egypt, Arab Republic of |
