All types of international inequality are found to be greater than previously thought (that is, as calculated using earlier data on countries' price levels). The main reason for the higher inequalities is that domestic price levels in most populous Asian countries (China, India, Philippines, Bangladesh) are some 40 percent higher than previously estimated. This implies not only higher global inequality but significantly greater global poverty head counts. 2012-03-30T07:31:19Z 2012-03-30T07:31:19Z 2008 Journal Article Int J Health Serv 0020-7314 (Print) 0020-7314 (Linking) http://hdl.handle.net/10986/5109 EN http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/igo World Bank Journal Article |
