Summary:This assessment of the current state of implementation of the Basel Core Principles for Effective Banking Supervision (BCPs) in Turkey has been completed as a part of a Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP) undertaken by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank during 2016. It reflects the regulatory and supervisory framework in place as of the date of the completion of the assessment. It is not intended to represent an analysis of the state of the banking sector or the crisis management framework, which have been addressed in the broad exercise.
