Description
Summary:The World Bank Group (WBG) Archives selected the open-source platform Access to Memory (AtoM) to support the Arrangement & Description program and the creation of the new Archives Holdings (https://archivesholdings.worldbank.org/) website. There were many challenges and opportunities to implementing and customizing open-source software, especially in the context of an archives embedded within a larger organization. This paper will chronicle the full life-cycle process of creating the Archives Holdings website, including lessons learned related to integration with established WBG systems and the collaboration across teams within the organization.
