The BEEPS have been carried out in five rounds: in 1999, 2002, 2005, and 2008; the 2011 is currently under implementation. The survey covers virtually all countries of Central and Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union, as well as Turkey. The BEEPS covers a broad range of issues about the business environment, and this note presents some simple indicators for key areas. BEEPS at-a-glance is deducted primarily to questions that are comparable across periods. The annex to the BEEPS at-a-glance document provides additional information on the comparability of indicators, specific differences and methods of calculation, if any. Key criteria for sampling were firm size, age, primary area of activity, and ownership of the firm. For a number of indicators, the number of firms that responded to a question is smaller than the overall country sample size. In most cases, the difference is attributable to preceding filter questions. This note focuses exclusively on the main BEEPS questionnaires for 2008 and 2011 and presents weighted averages or frequency distributions over all firms with non-missing data. 2013-11-18T20:44:16Z 2013-11-18T20:44:16Z 2013-01 http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2013/01/18042079/russia-bank-business-environment-enterprise-performance-survey-beeps-glance-2011 http://hdl.handle.net/10986/16300 English en_US BEEPS at a glance; CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank Washington, DC Publications & Research :: Working Paper Publications & Research Europe and Central Asia Russian Federation |
