The book has put more emphasis on access indicators and, in particular, includes additional variables capturing different aspects of access to financial institutions. The data in this book are for 2001, 2006, and 2011. The data highlights the multidimensional nature of financial systems. A basic comparison of data confirms that while financial systems in developing economies tend to be less deep, provide less access, and is somewhat less efficient, their stability has been comparable to financial systems in developed countries in recent years. 2013-09-26T21:10:51Z 2013-09-26T21:10:51Z 2013-09-25 978-1-4648-0081-8 10.1596/978-1-4648-0081-8 http://hdl.handle.net/10986/15896 en_US CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo World Bank Washington, DC Publications & Research :: Publication Publications & Research
