It analyzes how conflict changes gender roles and the policy options that might be considered to build on positive aspects while minimizing adverse changes. The suggested policy options and approaches aim to take advantage of the opportunity afforded by violent conflict to encourage change and build more inclusive and gender balanced social, economic and political relations in post-conflict societies. The book concludes by identifying some of the remaining challenges and themes that require additional analysis and research. 2013-08-07T20:05:47Z 2013-08-07T20:05:47Z 2005 http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2004/01/5342661/gender-conflict-development 0-8213-5968-1 http://hdl.handle.net/10986/14873 English en_US CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo World Bank Washington, DC: World Bank Publications & Research :: Publication Publications & Research :: Publication |
