Three decades of civil war have decimated the country's infrastructure and education system with large sections of the population still in dire straits, and high numbers of school-age children are out of school. Amid these challenges, the government has established a National Commission on Information Technology, now called the National Information Technology Agency, which has been given the task of developing a national ICT policy. There are a few programs and projects specifically on ICTs in education in the country, although these are largely small-scale, short-term initiatives. 2012-08-13T12:49:44Z 2012-08-13T12:49:44Z 2007-04 http://documents.worldbank.org/curated/en/2007/04/10022259/survey-ict-education-africa-angola-country-report http://hdl.handle.net/10986/10712 English InfoDev ICT and Education Series CC BY 3.0 IGO http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/igo/ World Bank World Bank, Washington, DC Publications & Research :: Brief Publications & Research Africa Angola |
