The community partner found their assistant teachers in Prasekolah and Ke/as Pendidikan Khas were not fiilly equipped with both psychological knowledge and skills in managing the children with atypical development. This may be the hindrance for the children to continue receiving guidance from a qualified and trained staff for their optimal development. The paper aimed to describe the development of Knowledge Transfer Program (KTP) in transferring psychological-based knowledge and skills in handling children with atypical development among assistant teachers in Sabak Bernam, Selangor. Apart .fi'om the primmy aim, the secondmy objective of the paper is to investigate the feasibility and acceptability, and to compile recommendations on what would make the KTP more acceptable and feasible for these women. The development of the KTP was facilitated by modules development that featured consultation with content and training experts. A pre-post test design was used to test the acceptability and feasibility of the KTP with 50 assistant teachers. The KTP modules discussed in the current paper consisted of two modules contents and activities that support learning/or psychological-based knowledge and skills in managing the children with atypical development. The KTP was feasible and acceptable by the assistant teachers. The paper demonstrated the value of engaging multiple experts panel to develop the KTP. The results of this support the feasibility and acceptability in conducting a full day workshop KTP with multiple sessions, yielding high participation rates among the assistant teachers. The outcomes have implications for assistant teacher's educations and trainings. The KTP 's module and format can be used by the policy maker to promote or reinforce the future trainings of assistant teachers in Malaysia.
