All modern disciplines, especially the social/human sciences taught in universities in the world were born in the last 300 years and have ‘foundations’ that represent western European worldview, history and experience (al-Attas, 1978; Faruqi, 1981) Many aspects of this worldview may not be in line with the Islamic worldview.
