Summary:Although there had been much change, public criticisms still abound, and removing negative perceptions of the Islamic legal system requires consistent and concerted effort. IF a pink elephant is in a room with us, can we pretend it does not exist or be oblivious to it? The analogy sums up the challenges in relation to the Islamic legal system. Experience has taught us that three kinds of people exist in this world: those who will not do anything; those who only criticise; and those who seek solutions. The third group is what I am more interested in. .....
