Summary: | Asian families, including those in Malaysia, are moving towards the Western nuclear family model. However, they are still holding on to certain structural forms and traditional values.
THE late 1970s has witnessed what Cheal (1991) called the “Big Bang” in family theory. Further elaborations of some works on post-modernism have also identified it as the main culprit for the loss of family values. ..... |
