Summary:The aim of this paper is to present the empirical findings of research using lean concepts that can best fit into the operation of SMIs in Malaysia. This paper uses a case study to illustrate its findings based on a medium scale industry in Malaysia. The findings were collected and tabulated accordingly into bar charts for validation purposes. The principles of Lean Manufacturing has proven to improve quality, on-time delivery, material flow and customer satisfaction by eliminating waste which helps reduce operating costs and improves overall productivity.
