The author is currently Director of Corporate and Communications & Business Liaison of the Public Investment Bank and Chairman of Federation of ASEAN Public Relations Organization. She writes from the heart and shares 20 Unforgettable Episodes as a Public Relations Practitioner in her more than 25 years experience in the field, revealing some of the secrets of the communication process in the real world. She also writes about historical and new developments within the PR industry during her five-year term on the Council as President of the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM). The importance of global networking for the industry through the Federation of ASEAN PR Organisation (FAPRO) and the Global Association for PR and Communication Management is also emphasized. Some personal conclusions have been drawn on theories in relation to Ego Management in Public Relations and a chapter on the importance of networking in the public relations business is also included. This book also provides a case study of volunteerism as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) exemplified by her employer, The Public Bank Group, who supported and encouraged her involvement in championing best practices for the PR industry in that five-year term period which culminated in the launch of the first group of Accredited Public Relations practitioners in the country.
