Anthony Mendleson
Anthony Mendleson (7 February 1915 – 5 September 1996) was a British costume designer. His accolades include two BAFTA Awards, in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards. Mendleson has designed costumes for Ealing Studios in the 1940s and 1950s, and for Pinewood Studios in the 1960s and 1970s. These include such notable films as ''Kind Hearts and Coronets'' (1949), ''The Lavender Hill Mob'' (1951), and ''The Ladykillers'' (1955).Mendleson was born on 7 February 1915 in Chiswick, London; he died in London on 5 September 1996.
